My Locale Extreme northern Sierra Nevada
About Me I'm 60, single male. I had been in Retail Management for over 30 years. I have mostly solo bped since the early mid '70's. I XC some, not afraid to go alone, I also solo winter camp, even out in sub-zero temps. A few years ago, I went on a backcountry bp to Alaska, where I flew in by bush plane with five others into Wrangell/St. Elias NP. Since early 2010, I have been collecting vintage/antique camping and bp stoves, having acquired over 90 now. I like many outdoor activities, from bping to dirtbike riding, gardening.

Get some older stoves?
I have a few old stoves from the '20's and '30's forward, seem to be ok. Of course, before isobutane was developed, maybe the gas or kerosene helped. Duane

Re: Fire Bans
Dustin, +1 I live in the mountains, stay home if you wanna bring your city attitude and ignorance to my backyard. If you don't live here, you are unaware of conditions. Duane

Off topic of sorts, Tim, can I send my bag back to get another oz. or so of down added, I've used it about 4 nights now? Do I have to launder it, I've used a liner with it when out? I'...

Tarp in the Wind River Range
I did fine in my TT floorless Squall two years ago. Some rain two out of five nights, worst was last night out luckily, as I had runoff inside. Duane
