Honest question... If the wind pants are NOT to be used as an outer shell, why bring them? If it starts raining do you then have to pull out ANOTHER pair of pants that are water-resistant and swap?

It didn't take much abrasion to tear up the stuffsack that comes with a complete set made of the same material. I've been thinking the same thing but have also had concerns about straps ...

Former NeoAir user, shook all night at just above freezing on the AT w/ a 35F WM Caribou MF. Switched out for an Synmat UL7 and achieved some of my best backcountry rest yet.

Wow, I was so confused when I put my pillow on top of my pad and looked at the distance between the tie outs. It all makes sense now...
