Socks
In my experience most of the thin poly socks don't last very long, and that includes DeFeet. What does seem to last is Pearl Izumi Attack Socks, which is interesting since I suppose they're...

Re: UD Fastpack 30
Correct - the UD Fastpack 30 will have 1 bottle pocket on one of the shoulder straps and a large enclosed zipper pocket (with an inner sleeve for a smart phone) on the other. I used this for a 5-d...

Re: JMT Unsupported Attempt
SPOT seems to be working better. If I have this right he was at Long Mdw at 7:33am, 3dh7h23m (ish). I think it's only 6-7 miles down to HI from there? He should CRUSH Brett's time of 3d1...

Re: Reds
No update from the SPOT for a little bit, but let's assume Leor got to Reds around 6:30pm. That would put him 2 hours ahead of Aaron's splits, meaning that he lost a couple hours vs. the p...

Re: Leor
At Mather Pass Leor is about 2 hours ahead of the splits that Aaron posted on the first page of this thread, which were for a finish 1-2 hours under the current record. Plus, he got a 4-hour rest ...

Hal & Mike did 3:36 to the summit. Hopefully Leor isn't starting too fast!
