I believe This class of knife (Titanium with tungsten carbide on one side) is designed to self-sharpen (the titanium wears down leaving a sharp carbide edge) Dave

The Exped Lightning is well suited to keeping weight off the top of the shoulders. The 24" long, rigid frame allows the load lifters to be effective. Dave
