My Locale Mt. Lassen - Shasta, N. Cal.
About Me Happy to find this site. Camping, hiking, whatever - love kayaks and have a bunch of foldables if people are ever in the area and want to use one - including a Klepper double which is great for taking gear and two people anywhere, including by sail in low wind conditions. Spent so much time reviewing all the posts and articles here over Thanksgiving I thought I would fill in some blanks. Me and partner live a few miles from Lassen peak on Hwy. 44 if you want to look it up and are in the area. Welcome to use our home as a base.

Re: KlearWater as mouthwash & skin treatment
pj and Gene, Very good points. I am not sure if pouring the KlearWater in a MicroDropper bottle will cause "premature oxidation." But, the comments by Dr.J and the stuff I read about...

I purposefully chose to respond here to Jeffrey's post, and not Ron Moak's --- which is a short version of my long winded thoughts. That is because I entirely respect Jeffrey's respons...

I did not mean your commentary was only relevant to about 14 years ago -- or that what Rodale does, or anyone at BPL, will innevitably harm the UL movement. Nor, is it only your commentary, by its...

Laurie - You have hit the nail on the head. I was thinking of ziplocks of hydrogen and oxygen which I could merge. But, instead I tried just plain air and then condensing it. The problem is t...

I have been trying to dehydrate water to cut down on weight carried. Every time I try, using solar radiant heat, a propane stove, or my food dehydrator -- I keep getting nothing left. Is there a ...

Outdoor Products Hall Pass Day/O'Nite Pack
I picked up this pack for $20 US at a Big 5 to experiment with (Campmor has it listed at $14.99). The thought was to see if it would do for a day, a night, and a day camping trip. Here it is packed,...
