About Me Mostly car camped as a kid, heavy gear but loads of fun.

Went through Army ROTC in college and learned their way of walking in the woods. Look like a tree, be the tree, cold camp, noise and light discipline, heavy heavy gear, long periods of boredom followed by a short time of high adrenaline, loud noises and explosions!

Got out, got married, had some kids, got into Scouting. Now I'm trying to get rid of the TA-50 setups and go lightweight. It's a process and I'm having fun doing it. Need to get better at it and that's why I'm here.
