My Locale Wet & Humid Southeast....
About Me I have been backpacking a little over 3 years now, but in that time I have logged a number of trail miles and went through a lot of gear trying to find my sweet spot. Now, thanks to cuben fiber, alcohol stoves, down and of course a better understanding, my TPW has severly dropped! My cold weather BPW is 9 - 10 lbs and my warm weather BPW is 5 - 6 lbs.
About 95% of the time I hike with family or friends and in the SouthEastern states. My favorites places to get away are anywhere along the AT as well as in the Great Smoky Mountains.

Thanks Randy, I didn't know that. Although, for that price I would rather buy an AL system on sale! :)

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Worn threads
Greg, I am just going to wait and see what they say. I was polite with the email, and to be fair, they do list their warranty at only a year... besides, as I mentioned, I got this (new, in the pack...

Re: Re: Re: Worn threads
I went ahead and sent an email to Jetboil asking them about replacing the stove. Doesn't hurt to ask. I will update this thread when I hear back from them.

Worn threads
I received a Sol Ti for a review when they were first released some years back, and have had no issues with mine... until now. But it is not the fins on the pot, it is the threads on the stove... T...

Re: Roll top
Just to clarify, last I heard (and as evidenced by my small Zero with a cinch top, and my small Zero with a roll top) the roll top option automatically comes with a couple extra inches to account f...

Re: Z-packs Zero Q's
I love all of my Zero's, and my Arc Blast. 2 of them are in the hybrid material, and the rest are regular cuben. IMO, none of them crinkle, but then again, I let the contents fill the pack out,...

Re: fiddly?
I use a ZPacks Solo Plus tarp & matching Hexanet, and I don't find anything to be fiddly about it... Set up is straight forward, and simple. I think it would be fiddly to those that are new...

Re: "Hotel" or "guest" style camp shoes
Haven't tried those... but my trail runners are a snap to put on, and are plenty comfy whether on the trail, or at camp. However, in colder months I will carry my Goosefeet Gear overbooties whi...

Re: Rolled xlite + 1/8 pad a framesheet?
I have been using the NeoAirs as my back support/frame.... whatever you want to call it, for the last couple of years. I got tired of rolling the pad up each morning and then stuffing it in the lit...
