How would it be closed due to snow (rather than a lack of snow)? Glacier Pt. Road to Badger ski area is typically open this time of year (absent a recent sizable storm). It has not snowed in week...

Jon, Mariposa Grove is great in winter. Just be aware that camping is only allowed in the Upper Grove. I think it is about 5 miles in. Although all uphill, it's relatively easy travel. ...
