About Me Electrical Engineer by trade. Hobbies include recumbent bike riding, magic, piano, music compostion and of course backpacking.

Backpack monthly with scouts or other small group. Love the exercise and alertness it brings. Ray Way caught my eye in 2001. My load lightened. Because of that, able to go faster, farther, AND still smell the roses. Love the lightweight insight on this forum. I'm also a Teva sandal backpacker. My feet love them.

When you have a family, the collection goes up: 60F Egyptian Cotton Sheet for hot/humid nights. I need cotton on those nights. My wife sewed 2 of these like a sleeping bag. 45F JRB Stealth 15oz ...

Re: Re: FS: really, really nice UL, SUB UL gear! Nunatak, WM, Gossamer Gear, Zpacks, MLD etc

Re: Steripen vs Light Sawyer filter... Which do you prefer?
+1 on steripen opti As someone else just pointed out, it is just less fiddly than filters (screw, unscrew, disconnect, connect, backflush, etc.,). And I’ve been enjoying dip-walk’n-stir. I d...

Re: Re: IronWire
+1 to Lawson's IronWire. You have to be clever rolling it up so it doesn't come out tangled from your bag. -Barry
