A lot of full brimmed hats have floppy brims - so worthless in the wind, as the brim blows up and now you are exposed. Check carefully for stiffness of brim when looking at full brim hats.

plastic whisky bottle. find a cheap half pint or pint of whisky in a plastic bottle, pour out the cheap junk, rinse clean, pour in the good stuff.
