Down hood for me. I like being able to wear my hood without having to wear my jacket, or mess with folding it up, and trying to keep the hood on my head.

Do you use pants too? That was the biggest issue for me. Like I said, a jacket works ok, since you can ventilate the top much easier. Pants suck. And you can't go too light on the bag with just...
