Re: Winter boots/shoes
I like the looks of the Zamberlans as well, might go with trying some of those. REI has them, but only up to 13. I'm worried a 13 might be a touch small for me too, especially with thick sock...

Anyone here trademark a name?
I'm dabbling in clothing/lifestyle/gear ideas right now. The domain names I'm looking for are available and now I'm considering taking the jump into purchasing a trademark for the name...

Re: Re: Los Padres Overnight.
Pretty dry up there this time of year. I typically pack for dry camp anytime I go. Thanks for the tip Brendan.

Super-Awesome TIP OF THE DAY!!! (warning, thread may be too awesome for some viewers)
There are ample reasons to not take a trip but few will be as memorable.

Re: Child's pack
That's exactly what I did Michael. The 5 yards to SUL pattern combined with my own pocket ideas. The hip belt wings were modeled after those on my GoLite Jam2. Width was good for my son. ...

Montbell Thermawrap jacket
A great jacket- my XL weighs in at just over 10 oz. with its stuff sack. Very simple, functional design- perfect for 3 seasons in the Sierras when combined with a base layer and/or shell system.
