About Me I hike mostly in the Sierra's typically one long trip per year of 8 or 9 days. These trips tend to be mostly off trail. I have in the last year decided it is time to cut down the weight.

It is basically plastic, a petroleum product, so I think it would burn nicely. I just tested a small sample. It tended to melt rapidly with a match flame but did not really hold the flame well....
