I use my long handled titanium spoon as spoon, backscratcher, tick remover, and shoehorn. [Cut a tiny triangle out of the tip of the spoon and you can catch up a tick whilst levering it up...ne...

tried out the luxurylite.com big stik and it would work for that. even came with a pigsticker. there's also a guy out there makes a hollow walking stick that carries your fishin rod.
