About Me I have fallen in love with thru-hiking in the past year. The Grand Enchantment Trail was a gateway hike for me last fall- I made it about half way before the snow spit me out of Arizona, then I bought in big time and hiked the PCT this past summer. I hope to keep getting out onto trails for months at a time for the rest of my life. In order to do this I need to make my pack as light as possible so as not to wear out my body before I am ready to sit and grow old.

This is great! I hope your words and courage to dump excess pack weight will inspire many other women to get out on the trail- there just aren't very many chics who go lite! Sage
