My Locale Ryan Grayson hasn't told us about their geographical region yet.
About Me I fell in love with hiking, so quit my job to backpack around the country. So far I've hiked just over 3,000 miles, most from my thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail. I will be starting the Pacific Crest Trail southbound in June-July 2014.

Leaning toward the Notch
Thanks for the suggestion! I suspected user error in setting up the Contrail, but I couldn't be sure. I'm leaning toward the Notch. Unless anyone has any other suggestions?

UL Tents good in light - medium snow
I'll be hiking the PCT southbound starting late June 2014. Do you think I will need a 4-season tent, or will a Tarp Tent Notch or Contrail be good? Also, a friend told me his contrail doesn...

What would be your ultimate backpacking adventure?
After hiking the AT in 2011, I got the hiking bug. I hiked another 1,000 miles of various trails in 2012 including the JMT, WT, and LT. This year is all about saving money for 2014. I've been p...
