My Locale Midwest
About Me I was attending grad school in CO in 2008 and the sudden passing of my Dad brought me back to MI to look after my Mom and family. During my unplanned time back in MI, I met a lovely lady who also loves the outdoors and we got married in Sept 2010 on a glacier in Alaska. Our honeymoon was spent in Katmia National Park watching grizzly bears. We plan on moving back to CO in the near future. My favorite places to backpack are Yosemite and the Wind River Range, although I get my first look at the Tetons this summer.

Another vote for the REI 1/4 dome T2+. I bought one of these last fall that my wife and I use. We ordered about 4-5 tents (various models of REI and Copper Slur) and tried them all out in our front...

Re: Steripen Opti still the way to go
I used the SteriPEN Adventure Opti for several trips 2 years ago and it worked well. I had issues with a friends identical pen the previous year, yet. I was able to eliminate those issues by drying...

Re:Zpacks or MLD Rain Mitts
