Wrong size pack? Alina, it sounds like your pack might be one size too small. I have a Crown and the load lifters indeed attach to the pack at a 30 to 45 degree angle. What size is your pack? |

Filtering below freezing I have never had success filtering water much below zero. It can work but the filter will freeze up if you leave it out too long. It will have to be stored with you inside your jacket or sleeping... |

When I was on the WCT... Beer. That is one reason that I found a lot of people have dang heavy packs on the WCT! Whether that adds up to an extra 20 pounds or not is debatable. Axes where another reason. |

My XL Xlite My XL Xlite weighs 15.7 oz in the stuff sack but without the patch kit. That is pretty much the exact claimed weight so I suspect the regular is pretty close to 12 oz. |
