About Me When not travelling, my main passion outdoors has become road cycling in the local hills (Santa Cruz Mtn's). Less hiking for fitness due to creaky knees. I try to a a couple of 4-5 day off-trail trips in the Sierra's, usually segments along Roper's Sierra High route. I've spent most of my vacation time getting back to the Himalaya- about 100 days in the last 3 yrs. Prefer to get to the less traveled areas, eg Manaslu/Tsum valley, Tilicho traverse, and in fall 2010, the Snowman trek in Bhutan.
