About Me I've been backpacking since age 12. In the more recent era, we have done a variety of trips in Louisiana, Arkansas, Alabama, Colorado, Washington and California. As of this past August (2006) we can add all 14 states of the Appalachian trail to this list. My wife and I thru hiked the AT finishing August 23. This was the culmination of our "3 year Plan" (that actually took 4 years) of hiking the Wonderland Trail, the John Muir Trail and then the AT. We are hooked on long distance hiking! We also own an outfitter shop called Pack & Paddle.
