I repeat this method over and over. Thick wool socks are awesome for me in all weather and for me.... they cut down on blister issues too. I don't like the current thinner merino wool so...

I did zero food drops and if I did it again, I'd do the same thing. There is zero need on the AT for the additional expense of food drops and you never know exactly what you are going to need...
