Re: Re: Re: WM and down DWR
If washing degrades the down DWR, then does that mean repeated stuffing of the down garment would also degrade the down DWR? I mostly assumed that DWR down was something invented to sell more do...

Re: re: 2p UL shelter
I'm pretty sure the Haven's floor width is 46'' or 48'' What about finding a used GoLite SL2 and getting Bear Paw to make an inner for it (or sew on a floating bathtub fl...

Re: Re: A new Silnylon available - 1.05oz/yd
Roger, under what conditions do you say it will leak? As a tarp? What HH do you normally consider acceptable? >1000 HH could mean almost anything. It could mean 10,000mm HH (unlikely thou...

Re: A new Silnylon available - 1.05oz/yd
Wow, Ripstop by the Roll has been busy. They just came out with the SilPoly too. I find it interesting that this 15D silnylon fabric has a side which should be facing outward toward the elements...

Re: available!
I think I'll hold out for the Artemis 55. The more durable fabrics would be nice. I'm pretty certain I've stretched/blown the stitches near the hipbelt connection on my old 50D HMG 4400...

Re: Northern Arizona/ Utah end of January
Late January is a good time to visit the Galiuro Wilderness or backpack the Sedona area. Here's a 4-day trip I did to the Galiuro Wilderness: http://hikearizona.com/photoset.php?ID=2390...

Re: Re: Fire in your mid ??????
I tried burning a can of Sterno in a Megalight once - it didn't seem to heat up the tent at all. I don't think the heat output is enough to make a difference in a large pyramid tarp.
