Using too much
If you taste soap, you are using too much. I use 2-3 small drops and don't ever taste soap. The few times I have put more than that, I do taste soap.

I've noticed that as well.
I haven't found anything worth buying the last 4 times i've stopped in at REI. I did purchase some fuel today, but that was to use up a gift card.
