About Me Just had my 65th birthday and am enjoying getting back into backpacking using the newer lightweight equipment. I primarly hike the Pacific Crest Trail here in Oregon and surrounding trails around Mt. Hood. I am lucky to have a wonderful wife who hikes with me. We both still work fulltime and are only able to hike on vacations and long weekends. We snowshoe in the winter to keep ourselves in shape.
