Re: Adding a hood to a 5x9 poncho without a ridge line seam.
http://royrobinson.homestead.com/ponchoplans.html I've used the above pattern. The hood isn't a great fit because it only has one seam, but it's perfectly functional. I'd use it ...

Re: Z-Line 1.25 or 1.5?
I've got a tarp with the 1.25 on the corners and the 1.5 on the ridge line. The 1.25 is a little more tangle prone but it's not terrible. It seems to hold knots just fine but I use the micr...

My experience too
I've had the exact same issue as the op. I am not a very sweaty person at all so I never suspected that I was getting damp at night, but that's what the problem was. I was sleeping in the w...

Re: One-person tent using 0.5oz netting
Bob, normally I'm the grammar Nazi. I thought this forum was relatively informal but I guess I'll have to step up my game. Dave, I've been resisting the urge to make some immature co...

Re: Re: One-person tent using 0.5oz netting
Bob, I also said you could use sticks or trees, or paddles when I go canoeing. I wanted to avoid making a tent that requires you to put the poles on the inside like a Zpacks hexamid. Both poles ar...

One-person tent using 0.5oz netting
Disclosure before I begin: Kyle over at Ripstop by the Roll offered to supply me the netting for this project if I agreed to do a build and a review of the new NS50. So, this post is both a review ...

Re: Baffling?
I wouldn't worry about using it as baffle material at all. It doesn't seem delicate at all really. Time will tell, but it's definitely more durable than the .67 netting I've used.
