About Me First backpack trip alone at 16 on the AT in PA. Since then many short and long trips. Plus a 4 year stint in the airborne infantry.... Since moving to Texas 10 years ago have gotten out of shape and out of touch with my backpacking roots. Looking to get back into it but smarter now. Have 2 sons and youngest is big into backpacking.
