Used the old inov roclite 295s for this approach to the climb today Also went up and down very loose scree ... The kind you can basically ski down ;)

There was an SOTM review on BPL a while back that measured the loft and efficiency loss of down under a shell where there was some compression ... The verdict i believe was that the extra layer ...

To be specific i use the old inov roclite 295s on that type of terrain ... Ive also used the terroc 330 I cant speak to the newer stuff That type of terrain is really approach shoe territory ...
