About Me Writer, Photographer, Ukulele extraordinaire.
I travel light and often.

Ive been ultralight backpacking and mountain-biking since about 1980. My first kit was a day pack a wool blanket and a poncho tarp. My first mountain-bike was a home built single-speed cruiser. Back then if mountain-bikes existed I didn't know about them, other than mine. I would see an average of one person in four trips. When not in the backcountry we live on a 24' engineless sailboat.

This has never been used, I bought it as a backup because I like my other one so much, after two years of torturing mine I realize it will last forever.
