About Me Backpacked the JMT with a sub-5 lbs base pack weight in 2005. Completed the JMT in 13 days, and also hiked 50 miles of scenic detours during this time.

Applied ultralight backpacking techniques in 2006 to cross the US unsupported by bicycle, covering 2681 mile in 22 days with an overall weight of 30.3 lbs, including bicycle and everything worn or carried.

On July 19, 2007 I completed a thru-hike of the Roper's Sierra High Route without resupply in 11.5 days, with a 17 lb pack weight (12 of which was food).
