Re: Patagonia's Houdini Pants
Hi Ray! Yes, these are lighter than the BPL Thoroughfare pants, which weigh in at 3.9 oz. As near as I can tell they're darn near pretty much the same fabric, which means they're bug pr...

New: Convertable Pants
Hi Scott! I'd ditch the convertible pants idea, as the lightest will weigh about 12 oz. Instead, go with lightweight running shorts with built-in mesh briefs & 8" inseam. Mine, fr...

New: Inspiration and Good Read
A couple of years back I read your MYOG article about modifying a stove so that it would work in the depths of winter as an inverted canister stove. I was intrigued, so I set out to find the Brunt...

Re: Mountain Hardwear SuperMegaUL 2 SpotLite Review
Hi Brad! I really wished that you'd field tested this very intriguing tent, say, in the soggy PNW just to see how it handles condensation. Since the fly has no peak vent and there was no ment...

Klean-Strip Green Denatured Alcohol
This review isn't about an actual alcohol stove, but rather about the fuel that all these stoves use. For the vast majority of the alcohol fuel enthusiasts the fuel of choice has been a denatured...
