I have to play devil's advocate on this thread. @Ken, Did your original roll down closure have buckles that had to mate down the sides of your pack to keep it closed? FWIW when I close...

The rainfly is seam sealed but not the seam around the "bathtub" floor of the tent. IMHO I don't see the benefit of sealing the seam of the bathtub floor when there is no-see-um me...
