My Locale Midwest
About Me Began backpacking in later years of Boy Scouts, continued afterwards and my packweiight continued to grow as I obtained more gear. Typical packweight for a weekend was 50lbs. Got back into backpacking after a long hiatus and researched lightweight techniques after remembering how pleasant it was to have burrows carry some of my gear at philmont. I now average 25lbs wet for a 3-4 day trip. I continue to strive to reduce my packkweight (I want to get below 15lbs dry). I usually backpack with my brother (also a former scout), and our sons.
