About The Author

An avid runner and hiker for more than 25 years, John Vonhof treats athletes' feet during ultramarathons and adventure races, witnessing firsthand what can happen to feet subjected to extreme conditions. He combines the technical training of his work as a paramedic, orthopedic technician, and emergency-room technician with his passion for pushing physical limits. John served as the race director for the Ohlone 50K Trail Run for 15 years and volunteers at events worldwide.
