Overview

The FireLite 550-SUL Titanium Cookpot is a newer version of the now-discontinued FireLite 500-SUL. Here's what's changed:

1. The 550 has a volume of 550 ml, the 500 had a volume of 500 ml.

2. The 550 is lighter and now weighs 1.89 oz (1.42 oz pot, 0.47 oz lid).

3. The 550 is made with thinner walled titanium than the 500, so it is more prone to bending by "those less careful". Because of this, the 550 lids and pots are subject to cosmetic defects that may include dimpling around the pot bottom and very slight warp in the lids. This is the nature of working with titanium that is this thin, and these are not performance defects.

The 550 is sized for those who enjoy the luxury of cooking but need only small water volumes. With a filled-to-the-brim volume of 550 ml (19.4 oz), the 550 is a good solution for boil-in-a-bag meals, hot cereals, soups, and hot drinks for the solo traveler.

The 550 can be an integral component of an alcohol or solid fuel cooking system, and is sized to fit the FireLite Titanium Folding Stove.
