The Esbit Windproof and Waterproof Storm Matches have an elongated burn-head which is specially designed for use in windy, wet conditions providing a long burn time (ten seconds). They also come sealed in a lightweight, re-sealable, waterproof container. This container will help the peace of mind of the wary wilderness traveller that an important part of their emergency kit will be safe from the elements.
The container contains twenty-five matches that will light in rainy, windy weather - precisely the types of situations when fire can be most crucial. There are pads for strike-lighting the matches on both the top and bottom of the container. It is recommended that the user dries these surfaces before striking the matches upon them.
