  1. Quantity is limited to stock on hand.
  2. No substitutions.
  3. No redemptions after the expiration date.
  4. Not valid with any other coupons.
  5. Coupon discount is calculated against Retail Price and is combined with Member Discount.
  6. You may combine closeouts and overstocks with other items in your cart (other items will not receive coupon discounts).
  7. Multiple uses of coupon before expiration date are allowed.
  8. No bribing of the customer support director for exceptions.

Overstock vs. Closeout

A closeout is an item that we are considering for discontinuation in our Gear Shop, because (a) it doesn't sell well, (b) our customers don't like it, or (c) it really doesn't support our message of light, simple, and effective. Generally, if two of these three conditions are met, we'll consider closing out the item, with (a) being considered as the least important factor in our decision. An overstock is an item for which we have an unexpected excess of inventory. If you see items on this list that are closeouts, but you don't want to see it go, please let us know.

Because we want you to know that we honestly love you. Or maybe you need the lonesome whistle of a closeout sale to blow your blues away.

How to Shop

Closeouts are only accessible through this page. You will not find them by browsing the Gear Shop online. Closeouts are available only to BackpackingLight.com Premium Members.
