The Specialty Cheese Company of Lowell, Wisconsin has a product line limited to, well, just cheese, of course, with a great new product that is sure to be hit among the backpacking crowd: Just the Cheese, a patented (check it out: #5,795,613) crunchy baked natural cheese snack. But this is not your ordinary cheese: Just the Cheese reduces volume and weight of mainstream cheese by half through a special cheese formulation and baking process that results in pure cheese "crackers" with a "chewably crunchy" texture that tastes great and offers 150 calories per ounce.

Flavors include (and ratings from * to ***, with *** being our show favorites) include pizza (***), nacho (***), jalapeno (**), white cheddar (***), cool ranch (**), and white cheddar/soy (*). Just the Cheese is packaged in serving-sized half-ounce plastic bags, perfect for supplementing your daily snack diet.

Look for an expansion of the product line as Just the Cheese products make their way into the outdoor industry.
