The Backpacking Light Gear Shop: Our philosophy for product sourcing is very simple: to feature backpacking gear that has the highest performance-to-weight ratio available. Most of our products are exclusive to BackpackingLight.com. We work closely with small manufacturers to develop custom ultralight backpacking gear that you won't find anywhere else. The backpacking gear in this catalog is intended for a small niche audience: some call it the lunatic fringe of ultralight hikers, backpackers, adventure racers, and alpinists. Surprisingly, much of this gear appeals to most hikers and backpackers as well - so even if you don't consider yourself a member of the lunatic fringe, you are certainly welcome here!
