Bug netting and zipper

Designed to be successful in the broadest of uses from buggy summers to windy, cold late season trips the 2010 Backpacking Light Vapr Bivy has a rich feature set to meet these needs. Starting with the crescent shaped double zip system the Vapr Bivy is easy to get into like a side-zip yet the short zipper remains lightweight. Built into the zip portion of the bivy is copious bug netting to keep bugs - and claustrophobia - at bay. A highly water-resistant bathtub floor keeps water out while the highly-breathable top-fabric lets perspiration breathe out of and away from your sleep system.

"In late September/early October, I slept out under the stars every night between 8,000 and 10,000 feet in elevation on a 7-day trek along the Teton Crest in Wyoming. I was using the bivy in combination with a TorsoLite Pad and UL 240 Quilt and in spite of nighttime lows in the 20s and frost on the outside of my bivy in the mornings, I never had a single droplet of water from condensation accumulate on the floor or sides.
